About the Author
Bruno Scrosati is Senior Professor at the University of Rome La Sapienza. He received the title of Doctor in Science “honoris causa”,from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and from the Chalmers University in Sweden. He is European Editor of the “Journal of Power Sources” and author of more than 450 scientific publications.

Prof. Dr. J�rgen Garche has more than 40 years of experience in battery and fuel cell research & development. In his academic career the focus was on material research. Thereafter, he worked on and directed cell and system development of conventional (LAB, NiCd, NiMH) and advanced (Li-Ion, NaNiCl2, Redox-Flow) batteries. His experience includes also fuel cells (mainly low temperature FCs) and supercaps. He established the battery & FC division of the ZSW in Ulm (Germany), an industry related R&D institute with about 100 scientists and technicians. His interest in battery safety goes back to the work with the very large battery safety testing center of the ZSW. In 2004 he founded the FC&Battery consulting office FCBAT; furthermore he is a senior professor at Ulm University.

High Quality Artwork !

Good packaging, arrived on a timely basis (quickly). I really like this little book. It has great artwork in it, not suggested for anyone under 18. Very colorful nice quality. I would suggest to anyone who can appreciate artwork of pretty, sexy women. Great gift idea for a young man or just about any artist for inspirational purposes.

Very cool book great artwork ,gonna have to find more from Jinky Coronado. Sexy fun action adventure , what else can a guy ask for. Yes I know that Banzai girls is just covers and posters shots , but hell, its fun and sexy. Just go out and get it.

Good Reading

Nail It tells a story of a household very well set on being part of the social elite. Being well educated, having a specific job status, living in a high class neighborhood are only some of the factors that are required to being included in one of these elite social groups. To Noah and Sahara Kyle being included in these specific groups were of high priority.

The book was entertaining but I felt something was missing. It was an okay read but I wanted something more to happen. The book only showed a glimpse of the characters personal and family life. I would have liked to know why being in the social circle was so important to Noah and Sahara. The main focus was on Sahara being invited to the Sphinx Masquerade Ball and all the hoops she had to jump through to make that happen. Sororities do a great deal to raise money for many causes, but the focus on this book was more along the lines of a personal goal. The book portrayed that this status was of high important, so much so that Noah refused his wife relations because one group she associated with didn’t reflect the image that he wanted to be associated with. But when she joined the right group and associated with a group fitting to his liking he was happy. Sahara went to college and was educated but seems her husband didn’t want her to utilize her education. Makes me wonder what was the purpose of obtaining an education if it was only to look good on social applications and to boost about during social gatherings

The writing style is impressive and easy to follow. The author gave a subtly view of what goes on behind social groups and the service these groups provide to communities. The culture of the groups are shown to reflect loyalty and dedication, this is encouraging. Sahara is a woman that had her mind set on obtaining a status and she was set on making that happen. The sisterhood between Sahara and her neighbor Meranda was refreshing that they were strangers but Meranda was willing to help Sahara climb the social ladder. The book showed relationship between women how they can be true and how sadly some women can have alternative motives. The book was predictable but believable as well.

Though this read won’t go down as a favorite of mine it was still informative and an enlighten read.

Now this is a book you gotta check out.

Refreshing, unique, and wholly inventive, "Nail It: Breaking Into The Black Elite" is one excellent read. Unlike anything I've read in quite a while, author Shonette Charles has created characters that are not only completely fully fleshed out, but extremely realistic and likeable.

The worlds of Sahara and Noah Kyle are completely consumed by the goals of entering the upper echelon of the 'Black Elite' - hence the title of the book. Underpinning their move to North Carolina is a the quest for acceptance into the vast labryinth of social circles that exist, such as the Sphinx, Darlings, and The Shield.

This vast world of exclusivity allows Sahara and Noah to up their social game. Their wish of inclusion is soon fraught with their own sets of challenges. While Noah quickly and easily becomes immersed in this superficial world, Sahara has a visibly more difficult time. Alongside their personal goals, both Kyles' meet many interesting and unique characters, some of which help them along their way, and some of whom add a whole new meaning to sneaky.

It's a captivating read, with twists and turns that take the reader from the obvious goals of social acceptance to the more underlying themes of findings one's way in life.

NAILed IT!

Author Shonette Charles has NAILed IT with her debut novel. What a fun read! While I was thoroughly satisfied with the novel’s surprise ending, I hope several sequels and/or prequels will soon follow. These characters grabbed and held my attention. I want to know what they will do next and what other skeletons are in their mysterious pasts.

I think NAIL IT would make a great book club selection, especially if your book club is part of a sorority or similar organization. Although it is a work of fiction, readers will be able to recognize themselves and others in the characters and situations presented (I know I did!) and have good discussion about the myths and the messages that author Shonette Charles takes on in the book. Highly recommended!

About the Author
Euripides was an Athenian born in 484BC. A member of a family of considerable rank, he disliked performing the public duties expected of him, preferring a life of introspection. He was not a popular figure, and at some point (and for a reason unknown) he went into voluntary exile at the court of Archelaus, King of Macedon. He died c.407BC and is thought to have written around ninety-two plays, of which seventeen survive.

About the Author
Pushkin Kachroo, Ph.D., P.E., is a noted robotics theorist and developer. The author of three books and more than 75 papers published in technical journals and conferences, he is an Associate Professor in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Virginia. He earned his doctorate at the University of California, Berkeley; his master's degree at Rice University; and his bachelor’s degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He obtained his Professional Engineering license from the state of Ohio in 1995.

Patricia Mellodge specializes in mobile robot control. An electrical engineering graduate of the University of Rhode Island, she designed analog control circuits for Optigain, Inc., before joining the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. In 2002, she received her master's degree and is currently pursuing her Ph.D.

Best analisys I've seen on a robotics book.

Hello.

This book is one of the best I've seen and read so far.

I have several books on robot building (Gordon, Miles, Cook, Williams, Jones, Groover, Clark, Iovine, etc) and this book has captured every aspect that I was looking for.

The author explains the matter step by step througly thus giving the reader the sense that HE KNOWS what he's talking about (very important).

The other book similar to this one is "INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS: TECHNOLOGY, PROGRAMMING, AND APPLICATIONS", though, a bit old (1986), has mathematical analisys and good examples overall.

But this book (Mobile Robotic Car Design) excels on the analisys part. And best of all, it introduces the reader to mathematical information that one CAN understand, using MATLAB.

The book is divided in two parts:

Part 1

Hardware Implementation.- This is dedicated on how to make the robotic car, the hardware,programming (PIC and DSP) and several techinques that one would see on other robo building books.

Part 2

Theory of mobile robots.- This is where the interesting part begins. The math and how it can be used in our favor.

The book is worth the money IF you're into every detail of design. It has good information if you're only triying to make a robot but it would definitely be TOO MUCH for many (the robot DNA series would do).

This book is recommended for engineers and hobbyist as stated on a review, but mostly for engineers.

On another note:

Jones book, "Robot programming", is a good book for people that already have a robotic car, it's a good companion for this book.

While reading the book, I found it to be understandable and easy to follow. The diagrams and step-by-step process was very helpful in understanding the Mobile Robotic Car Design. I would highly recommend this book to people like hobbyists and engineers who would like a well designed platform to test their vehicle control experiments, obstacle avoidance, or anything else your imagination can come up with.
